Compound Steel Gratings
Compound steel gratings are composed of checkered plates on sealed surface and steel gratings with certain spanning capability.
Compound steel gratings are formed of any type of steel gratings and checkered plates in different thicknesses. The type JG323/40/100, JG253/30/100 and JG323/60/100 are commenly used as base and the checkered plate with 3 mm thickness is used as sealing plate. Sometimes checkered plate with thickness of 4mm, 5mm or 6mm is also used as sealing plate as per customers' requests.
The steel grid gratings offer load bearing and spanning capability. The anti-slippery tread plates as surface are made of diamond pattern checkered plate offering excellent slipping resistance.
As thermal stress may cause shape distortion after hot-dip galvanizing, especially when choosing large spacing grating,s it's not easy to flatten. So special attention should be paid when choosing grating types.
